The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and manage process design, implementation, and optimization projects and Lean implementations: determining and specifying the most effective methods, processes, and equipment needed to manufacture and assemble products.
Review, monitor, develop, modify, and maintain manufacturing processes and their control systems to maximize efficiency and quality.
Design data collection plans, lead and manage experiments, analyze data, and implement improvements to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to maximize efficiency and quality.
Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
Manage process databases and provide timely and routine feedback to those responsible for the performance.
Define and publish simple and clear manufacturing assembly instructions describing precisely how Assemblers are to build and integrate products.
Implement ergonomic improvements for manual assembly.
Develop tooling or fixtures for new products and assembly processes.
Manage capital projects to support asset effectiveness and production needs.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
8+ years of related experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team.
Experience with ERP/MRP/MES systems.
Ability to define and manage the development of manufacturing methods and processes, including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
Ability to implement and manage lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools.
Ability to conduct, manage and lead time study efforts.
Ability to implement Statistical Process Control techniques.
Familiarity with simulation packages
Excellent written, verbal, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail.
Advanced management skills, including planning and organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and project management.
Problem-solving proficiency (e.g., Pareto, failure mode analysis, etc.)
