Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring positive outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing skills. This role promotes nursing excellence by coordinating care using the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and conditions to deliver optimal nursing care and ensure each patient receives appropriate attention.
- Analyze patient information, including medical history and diagnostic results, to create tailored nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and conduct treatments to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure accuracy in medical records and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions and identify any further actions to achieve care goals.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure thorough care planning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Experience:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as recognized by ANCC or national nursing organizations - Licensure/Certification:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
