Job Summary:
Join a leading healthcare system recognized for its commitment to employee wellness! We are seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Utilizing various skills—carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling—you'll help create a safe and efficient environment.
Primary Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives.
- Oversee and inspect outside contractors for projects, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning services.
- Inspect building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to confirm they meet design capabilities and client-preferred environmental conditions.
- Perform emergency and preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Review work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and manage orders for necessary supplies.
- Handle the maintenance of the building's lighting system, including repairs and replacements of elements and ballasts. Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as necessary.
- Implement an energy management program aimed at operating systems efficiently while minimizing costs, and respond promptly to emergencies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training is necessary.
- Maryland State 1st or 2nd Class Stationary Engineer License (Engineer 2nd Grade - ENG 2NDG) required.
- Universal CFC Refrigeration Certification is mandatory.
This position offers a hiring range of $30.67 - $54.48.
